About the Job
The General Manager directs the operations of the restaurant by performing the following duties outlined, and those not specified in this description
Develop and maintain professional working relationships with team members
Training according to SOP to improve the operation and the guest experience
Manage dining room floor, focusing on regular contact with guests. Maintain and solve guest complaints. Insure all team members are well trained and able to follow all IHOP SOPs
Comply with Federal and State regulations that are applicable
Recruit, train, and retrain Team Members, following IHOP training standards. Conduct ongoing coaching. Properly document performance problems. Communicate and enforce policies on 1) sexual harassment 2) discrimination 3) diversity. Maintain crew member appearance and uniform standards.
All food specs must be followed and food is presented well and served at appropriate temperatures within the standard ticket times
All inventory and ordering insuring no out of stock items
Ensuring all equipment is clean and in good working order
Ensure all sanitation practices are followed and maintained
Maintain a safe and secure restaurant
Complete all reports and paperwork, including payroll as assigned
Maintain control over cash
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or general education degree and two to four years related experience
Ability to read and speak English
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
