The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of various imaging modalities, including X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound, and will be adept at interpreting diagnostic images to support accurate and timely patient care. This role involves close collaboration with other healthcare providers to help diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Image Interpretation: Analyze and interpret diagnostic imaging studies (e.g., X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound) to identify abnormalities and inform clinical decisions.
- Patient Care: Work directly with patients for imaging procedures, when necessary, providing guidance, and addressing patient questions and concerns.
- Collaboration: Consult with referring physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient imaging results and recommend appropriate follow-up.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed, clear, and accurate reports on imaging findings for each patient case.
- Quality Control: Ensure the highest standards of imaging quality and accuracy, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on advancements in radiology, attend relevant workshops, and participate in continuous medical education (CME).
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Certification: Board certification in Radiology from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent.
- Licensure: Texas medical license for the practice of radiology.
