An HSSE Claims Administrator plays a crucial role in insurance and risk management operations.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule.
Responsible for site safety. Ensure the overall job site is safe for workers and visitors as well as manage compliance with established company safety policies.
Work with the project teams to budget, forecast, and manage field personnel as well as management of labor, equipment, materials, tools, and other cost considerations.
Prepare work plans and develop temporary facilities for the project.
Understand, review, and manage project plans, specifications, and manufacturer's data and execute projects based on said documentation.
Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
Manage the overall project and 2 weeks look ahead schedules, including creating the master schedule and updating it weekly.
Generate RFI's (Requests for Information) as required to ensure completeness of the project documents and identify and clarify any discrepancies.
Review submittals for compliance with project manual and plans, manufacturer's recommendations and code, or other standards applicable to the system.
With the project team to manage the company's quality control program for the project.
Conduct preconstruction planning.
Conduct on-site project meetings with subcontractors and construction trades lead personnel.
Manage subcontractors for all work performed on-site.
Management and supervision of work crews on-site including:
- Holding subcontractors accountable.
- Manage all personnel to have resources and information to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Provide eyes on support for the project manager.
- Manage the overall safety of the project and ensure all have the resources to perform their work safely.
Other duties could include:
- Work with the project team to maintain relationships with owners, visitors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Manage site work and logistics of construction site.
- c. Provide feedback on processes and procedures, as the company truly believes in continuous development.
Operating as the site leader, on job site (s) full time.
Establishing a daily Check In/Check Out process with sub-contractors.
Coordinate work of all subcontractors on site, - oversee the daily operation in a way that achieves successful completion of projects.
Ensures job site safety and quality of work - Enforcing HSSE standards as required including Incident Reporting.
Conduct and Record Toolbox Talk safety meetings on-site daily.
Assists in permitting requirements where required.
Coordinates/consults on the commercial strategy for future site builds with the Project Manager and General Contractor.
Submit all project-related paperwork at the required time of submission.
Submitting crew activity sheets and Project Field Reports - Weekly Status Reports.
Perform regular quality checks of ongoing production, giving corrective direction to subcontractors when poor quality or unsatisfactory work is discovered.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Interface with planning systems and embracing a metrics-driven performance culture reporting project status
Liaise with technical authorities for the Management of Change
Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or construction Management a plus
- 5+ years of proven leadership or supervisory role.
- 10+ years of construction experience.
- Basic computer skills with experience in MS Office and MS Project preferred.
- Current driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Previous experience as a site superintendent is preferred.
- Strong leadership, adaptability, and communication skills are required.
