About the Job
Under immediate direction, safely operate equipment and handle chemicals to ensure the safe sanitation of production equipment and maintain cleanliness and organization in all processing areas and exterior grounds.
·Ensure operational compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in Employee Safety (OSHA), Employment (HR), Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA), Work Rules, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), and other standards established by the company.
·Commitment to follow and maintain the highest level possible to BRC standards.
·Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties.
·Responsible for adhering to Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) and BRC programs and requirements.
·Works closely with all Supervisors to maintain cleanliness standards, increase efficiencies and yields and eliminate damaged products.
·Determine priorities for cleaning either through directions provided by QA Supervisor or through consultation with the Master Sanitation Schedule.
·Operate all equipment when needed for cleaning correctly and complete all chemical concentration monitoring as described in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
·Complete accurate inventory counts and keep equipment and chemical storage areas clean and tidy.
·Store all chemicals and safety equipment correctly.
·Provide training to new personnel.
·Use various equipment, including high-pressure water hoses, to thoroughly clean and sanitize production equipment following established procedures.You may be required to disassemble and re-assemble portions of the equipment.
·General maintenance of company exterior grounds,
·Apply chemicals for cleaning, degreasing, and sanitizing; apply hot water wash down for sterilization.
·Prepare required chemicals according to procedures.
·Work as a team player to help the QA team meet its goals.
·Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping flooring and stairs using manual tools and equipment.
·Operate floor sanitation equipment such as floor scrubbers.
·Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
·Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
·Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
·Empty all trash cans, replace liners, and clean receptacles as necessary.
·Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture
·Cleaning windowsills and windows.
·Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
·Complete special projects and other reasonable duties as assigned by Management.
·Able to work required shift hours plus overtime as required.
·Able to climb stairs.
·Able to work with approved cleaning supplies wearing appropriate PPE.
·Able to work in a multi-temperature environment, subject to elements of outside weather.
·Able to work on and operate a forklift.
·Able to meet productivity standards.
·Able to work individually or with teams.
·General knowledge of chemicals that are in use within the facility.
·0 – 2 years of similar work experience in a manufacturing environment.
·Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
·Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
·Ability to read, understand and follow written specifications, blueprints, or schematics.

BBase salary range from $33,280 - $60,320.
