Georgia-Pacific (GP) is seeking full-time Environmental Specialist to join our team in Summer 2025 at our La Mirada, CA office!

What You Will Do

Opportunities may include:

• Collect, prepare and/or ship samples for outside lab analysis
• Conduct compliance related inspections (e.g. waste, stormwater, SPCC, air, etc.)
• Help prepare and/or review regulatory reports to outside agencies
• Leverage available technology platforms to transform how work is completed and strive for transformation and automation
• Complete an unprecedented skill-building opportunity which prepares its participants for a career in EH&S at GP.
• Receive hands-on training and practical application of safety and health practices at GP, along with exposure to business and manufacturing processes.
• May be offered an opportunity to gain exposure to subject matter experts as well as key leaders in our manufacturing facilities located across the country.
• Understand, develop, apply, and coach employees on our culture of Principle Based Management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Enrolled in a degree or alternative program. (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)

• Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2025
• Willing and able to relocate per program requirements
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

• Enrolled in an Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Health, Natural Sciences or related Engineering degree program.

For this role, we anticipate paying between $78,000 - $80,000.
