Verdantas is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer Intern for the Temecula, CA Office.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in preparing engineering-related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids
- Assisting with fieldwork (e.g., construction observation, soil sampling, site inspections)
- Researching, collecting, and entering data, and applying technical principles to assist in interpreting and analyzing data
- Reviewing submittal; and technical documents to assess compliance with project requirements and preparing draft documents
- Preparing CAD drawings in accordance with NECS standards and under the guidance of a CAD designer
- Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members
- The position may include travel
- Previous engineering internship/Co-Op experience is a plus
