The Opportunity:
Are you interested in a Geotechnical Engineering Manager position that authorizes you to take charge of projects from cradle to grave? Or would you prefer the confinement to one piece of the puzzle for the aggregate of your career? My guess is you are a smart, curious, highly skilled Engineer who loves solving complex problems and would like exposure to all aspects of projects, not just one.
At C2Earth, we work to optimize our employees' expertise by exposing them to the entirety of each assigned project. This includes developing scopes of work, preparing budgets, conducting subsurface exploration programs, mapping geologic/engineering site conditions, performing laboratory testing, drafting, analyzing collected data, writing reports or letters, and overseeing contractors' proper execution of the approved plan. This position is a highly valued asset to the company. With it is the opportunity to be involved and manage each step of the process of the most complex projects available to the firm.

Unlike many larger firms, bonuses begin at 1,300 billable hours staying true to our commitment to work life balance. We all know that billing 1,600 -1,7000 annually means overtime or billing clients for things they shouldnt be. Fridays are off at 1pm, allowing you to finish any remaining tasks of the day maybe get a head start on Mondays work to prevent any weekend planning, or simply take it as personal time to head on home. You Will Have the Opportunity To:
- Work with our subcontractors to schedule field work & obtain permits from local agencies
- Oversee drilling test pit/trench operations
- Observe fieldwork and manage recording of data
- Develop a thorough knowledge of
- Create slope profiles and field maps
- Develop thorough knowledge of field subsurface exploration and mapping procedures
- Conduct laboratory testing
- Prepare illustrations and conceptual design figures for publication
- Assist with analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting collected data and measurements
- Gain working knowledge and understanding of engineering, geologic, and geotechnical engineering concepts and project requirements
