POSITION TITLE: Giving Tree/Gift Wrap Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Business Operations Manager
STATUS: Seasonal, Full time ( November 1, 2024 - December 24, 2024)
PAY: $17.28/Hour
SCOPE OF POSITION:The Giving Tree/Gift Wrap coordinates the operations that take place at the local mall for the holiday season.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Organize the Giving Tree program for children's toys and the Gift Wrap program for fundraising.- Coordinate toy pick-ups with Seasonal Christmas Drivers and Business Operations Manager.- Coordinate space clean-up at end of season.- Maintains contact and good report with key Mall staff.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:- Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task- Ability to quickly learn and apply new information/skills- Sensitivity to and understanding of the comprehensive mission of The Salvation Army- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision- Ability to work in a challenging environment and maintain poise under pressure- Ability and willingness to keep information confidential- Must complete and adhere to Protecting the Mission requirements and guidelines, including the ability to pass a TSA background check- Must have current Washington State Driver's license- Completion of Decision Driver Training
SOFTWARE-RELATED SKILLS:- Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheet- Microsoft Outlook- Good Docs- Square Terminal
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis- Ability to operate telephone- Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.- Ability to operate a motor vehicle- Ability to sweep, mop and vacuum floors on a daily basis.
