About the Job
Join BevMo as a GL Accountant where you will maintain a best-in-class accounting function core to BevMo's success. You will support the Accounting team with daily responsibilities, assigned month-end close tasks and strengthening the infrastructure for a generation-defining brand. As part of the Finance team, you will report to the Senior GL Accountant and partner with teams across the organization. Responsibilities
- Work directly under a GL Senior Accountant assisting them in daily, weekly and monthly tasks
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
- Assist in Indirect Expense Process and upload Third party platform outputs to Great Plains (COUPA, FEXA, Pair AI, etc.)
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
- Prepare account reconciliations, flux explanations and ad hoc analysis
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of prepaid transactions and accrual accounting
- Responsible for managing Scan Invoice process and Vendor Recall process.
- Assist with Store Leasing activities including monthly rent and CAM payments and verify any rent escalations, CAM changes and CAM reconciliations.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting needs
- Support external audit efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
- 1-3 years' experience in an accounting role
- Experience with Great Plains ERP system - Preferred
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis
- High proficiency in Excel (formulas, vlookups and pivot tables)
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, Hybrid team environment.
