Quaker Houghton is actively seeking an experienced and collaborative professional to join their staff as their new Senior Global Benefits Analyst. In this role, the Senior Global Benefits Analyst will be responsible for ongoing administration of US & Canada benefit plans, international benefit plans, and supports the company's global wellbeing and pension plans as necessary. This position works closely with external vendors, internal payroll, HRIS, and business unit contacts.
Position Accountabilities –
- Lead open enrollment activities within US & Canada
- Compiles, analyzes, and reports benefit data, plan performance and financial reports as required
- Reviews and analyzes international annual renewals and reconciliations, assesses claims data to determine appropriateness of renewal increases globally
- Vendor management works closely with global consultants and vendors on a regular basis
- Provides guidance to international HR team around global benefits trends and benefits program
- Assesses current benefit programs, market trends, legislative, tax and social changes that impact company programs and makes recommendations to the employee benefits committee
- Assist in the benchmarking of current plan performance and costs, including risks and opportunities; participates in market surveys as needed
- Tracks budgeting and invoicing for applicable benefit plans
- Supports RFP process and implementations as necessary
- Monitor benefit programs to ensure adherence to internal policies and external legislation including compliance of all regional and country legislation
- Prepares executive summaries of renewals, benefit plan performance, recommendations to present with management team
- Extracts data and reporting from global benefit broker database
- Monitors emerging global market trends, social programs cultural and competitive practices, and legislation outside the U.S.
- Supports global wellbeing initiatives and strategy, including administration of Virgin Pulse platform
- Manages requests and escalations from various regions
- Partners closely with HRIS and Payroll for 401(k) auditing and on going administration
- Supports HR Service Team and employees with any benefits and wellbeing questions to bring clarity to benefits and wellness initiatives
- Maintain global benefits resource page with respective partners to communicate effectively to our colleagues on the resources they have available to them
Education/Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 5+ years of experience working with global benefit plans
- Knowledge and experience working with international benefit and wellness programs
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Sense of urgency, attention to detail and accuracy, well organized and able to prioritize
- Ability to analyze data, perform mathematical calculations in computing rates, premiums, and adjustments
- Strong communication and writing skills; ability to prepare written summaries in PowerPoint to present to management
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of HRIS systems, Workday preferred
- Must be comfortable working independently and making decisions
- Must have strong communication skills
- Possess critical thinking skills and must be a problem-solver
- Ability to remain open to change and new information and ideas and adapt as necessary
