Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Category Manager for our Hot Dog/Sausage division. This permanent remote role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the food industry, particularly in the hot dog and sausage categories. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing global category strategies, driving growth, and ensuring profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global category strategies for hot dogs and sausages.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and supply chain to drive category innovation and optimization.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure best terms and quality.
- Monitor category performance and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve targets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in category management within the food industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the food industry.
