About the Job
The Global Digital Salesforce Developer is responsible for managing the Salesforce environments for the enterprise, aiding deployment, monitoring performance, rolling out upgrades, creating backups and recovery processes for the platform. The successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using the Salesforce platform. The release manager is also a Certified Salesforce developer who works closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify/improve deployment process and be responsible for executing the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement tasks for our CRM platform.
Responsibilities
Release Management:
- Serves as the “release manager” for Salesforce projects, provide training and guidance to other staff on deployment guidelines.
- Manages multiple Salesforce orgs for Global Digital team. Manages sandboxes and ensures best practices are followed by development teams while using Salesforce environments.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders and leads deployment sessions to prioritize deliverables and deploy well-tested solutions across Production and Non-production environments.
- Performs regular sandbox refresh cycles and enforces guardrails to ensure standard process is followed for the management of sandboxes.
- Stays up to date with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends, and provide recommendations on how to upgrade the environments to the latest release.
- Develops and maintains deployment templates and documents deployment processes for code promotions as well as back promotions, in addition to periodic refresh cycles of sandboxes.
- Designs, develops, and maintains complex user roles, security model.
- Contributes to the creation of Salesforce development standards and guidelines.
- Performs regular review of code and provides recommendations to developers on best practices and standards using guidelines.
- Performs mass data imports/exports using the Bulk API or various import tools.
- Conducts thorough analysis of deployments and provides recommendations to developers with Salesforce best practices.
- Designs and implements data partitioning and multitenancy strategies to enhance performance as well as provide robust data security.
- Actively participates in design and sprint planning sessions, offering relevant solutions and input.
- Supports the Salesforce development lifecycle – aiding developers to build and promote code to Production
- Troubleshoot and complete complex data loads and deployment errors.
- High comfortability with the integration of standard and custom data sources.

- Presents written recommendations, solutions, and insights to developers, senior leaders and stakeholders, facilitating prioritization and influencing the regional teams.

Technical & Functional Skills:
- Must have experience with Salesforce CRM including Sales cloud, Experience cloud, Marketing cloud, Commerce cloud, Data cloud and related products.
- Strong knowledge of the Salesforce platform and development tools including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning.
- Should possess thorough knowledge of various Salesforce governor limits and best practices.
- Expert knowledge of Salesforce security best practices and management of roles, profiles, data sharing rules, shield etc.,
- Ability to monitor and report on Salesforce logins and usage of community licenses.
- Ability to automate deployment of Salesforce code/configuration changes to higher environments.
- Ability to review and understand the downstream impacts of a change request and anticipate opportunities to improve it.
- Ability to proactively identify problems and prepare solutions for resolution.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree – a 4-year undergraduate degree in business, IT or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce developer, with a proven track record of managing Salesforce orgs for customers.
- 1+ years of experience in Copado or equivalent DevOps tools for Salesforce deployments
- Salesforce certifications is a must (Platform Developer 1, Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Sales Cloud Consultant, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Jira, MuleSoft, Tableau, Confluence software.
- Knowledge of integration with Heroku, AWS and other third-party SaaS platforms
