Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for Global events? Due to our continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Global Events Marketing Manager in Washington, D.C. You will be the driving force behind delivering unforgettable experiences that bring our brand to life. You’ll lead the charge in creating and executing powerful event marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, generate leads, and elevate customer engagement worldwide.
What you’ll be doing:
- Shape the Strategy: You will own, develop and implement a bold, global events marketing strategy, ensuring it’s fully aligned with Oritain’s vision and objectives. You'll spearhead a cohesive plan that enhances our international presence through high-impact events.
- Plan & Execute: You will plan, manage, and flawlessly execute a dynamic calendar of events, from large-scale trade shows to intimate conferences, webinars, and cutting-edge virtual events. You’ll partner with Marketing and Sales to identify target markets and support demand generation/efforts. Every event will contribute to a cohesive strategy that showcases our innovation, builds brand awareness, and drives business results.
- Collaborate & Lead Cross-Functionally: Seamless collaboration is critical to success. You will work closely with marketing, sales, product, and leadership teams to ensure each event runs smoothly. Your leadership will ensure all teams are aligned, and our message is consistent.
- Drive Engagement: More than just planning, you will generate excitement and engagement before, during, and after events. You’ll leverage targeted marketing campaigns and work closely with Sales, particularly Sales Development to improve event success.
- Manage Budgets & Logistics: You’ll oversee every detail, from budgeting to on-the-ground logistics. You will carefully manage timelines and resources, always ensuring events deliver a measurable return on investment (ROI) and meet Oritain’s standards of excellence.
- Analyse & Optimize: Post-event is just as important as pre-event. Partnering with Marketing Operations, you’ll analyse performance, assess metrics, and extract insights to continuously refine and optimise our event strategies, ensuring we’re supporting Sales and Marketing new pipeline/revenue targets.
- Build Relationships & Influence: Your success depends on relationships. You’ll cultivate strong partnerships with event organisers, industry influencers, vendors, and key stakeholders. These relationships will amplify our voice in the market and position Oritain as a thought leader.
- Empower Leadership & Sales: You will partner with our executives and sales reps to equip them with the tools and messaging they need to shine. Whether through impactful presentations or meaningful connections, you’ll ensure our team is ready to leave a lasting impression.
- Stay on the Cutting Edge: You’ll be our in-house expert, staying current on industry trends, best practices, and the latest technologies in event marketing. Your knowledge will keep us ahead in an ever-evolving events landscape.
- Travel the World: With global events in your portfolio, you’ll need to be comfortable with frequent travel (up to 45% annually) to manage, execute, and elevate our presence on the international stage.
Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Educational Foundation: A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is required. A Master's degree would be a plus.
- Extensive Experience in Marketing Events: You have at least 5-7 years of hands-on experience in events marketing, consistently delivering high-impact, large-scale events that exceed expectations, and several years of additional experience as a marketer. Experience working within a SaaS business would be highly advantageous.
- Master of Project Management: Juggling multiple projects simultaneously is second nature to you. You efficiently manage complex timelines, budgets, and stakeholders, ensuring flawless execution.
- Exceptional Communicator and Negotiator: Your communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are unparalleled. You know how to engage stakeholders, secure partnerships, and foster long-term relationships.
- Tech-Savvy Marketer: Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and event management tools sets you apart. You leverage technology like (HubSpot, Salesforce, and Zoom Events) to drive efficiency and enhance event success.
- Global Mindset: Ideally, you've worked in a global or multinational organisation, giving you the perspective and agility to manage diverse teams and audiences across borders.
- Data-Driven Decision Maker: You possess strong analytical skills and a keen ability to interpret data. You use insights to refine strategies and deliver measurable results.
- Naturally Curious: You're eager to learn and dig deeper, ask questions and seek out knowledge to enhance your skills and impact
- Self-starter: You take initiative, identify opportunities and challenges, and act with purpose to drive results. You're hands-on and unafraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
- Industry Knowledge (Bonus)
While experience in the supply chain sector is a plus, it’s not a requirement. What matters most is your drive to learn and adapt in this evolving space.

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $155,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a hybrid role, working two days a week from our downtown offices in Washington, D.C.
