PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Responsible for the global strategy, lifecycle planning and delivery of commercial platform assets; manages the associated backlogs of work, provides input on project and enhancement prioritization, coordinated with vendors, and sets roadmaps, plans and expectations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides strategic leadership of overall objectives through the application of thoughtful techniques in the communication of the company’s mission and core values to effect positive change and/or create organizational structure within Global DTI.
• Leads operational efforts through subordinates to complete the administration of business processes and services to ensure the operations effective achievement of goals.
• Directs and oversee the broad activities of the global commercial platform teams through the interpretation, application and implementation of company-wide policies and procedures relevant to DTI.
• Ensures that budgets and schedules are within company requirements with significant organizational responsibility for the overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, expense priority management, and the recommendation and implementation of current practices.
• Provides leadership, guidance and coaching to all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce, partnering with Human Resources on employee relations issues.
• Collaborates with employees in the establishment of clear and concise development plans to ensure succession planning and the advancement of future leaders within the organization.
• Strategic leader with broad-based knowledge of the Healthcare and/or MedTech industries with an emphasis on providing strategic solutions to all commercial operations teams. Has broad decision-making authority within the area of commercial platforms.
• Develops strategic plans to ensure successful implementation of action plans and objectives where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of the company, competitive environment, technology and economic or social implications of organizational activities.
• Responsible for multiple functions, departments distributed globally. Has development and maintenance responsibilities over the budget but does not have profit and loss responsibilities.
• Develops and implements strategic plans and objectives for the direct departments in alignment with corporate strategy. Participates in the development of business unit- or division-wide strategies. Oversees the direction and approval of tactical administrative or operational policies and resource allocation decisions to ensure the achievement of objectives.
• Establishes protocols in the facilitation of strategic interdepartmental cooperation, motivating development of new tools and methods for dealing with crisis situations.
• Decisions are often complex with significant organizational impact, managerial and budgetary responsibilities. Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of long-term company operations.
• Oversees focused operations for commercial platforms globally for all business units and geographies. Sets the vision and direction through resource allocation decisions for a significant organization or business unit.
• Interacts with all levels of the organization to manage the business. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Has strong interaction with SVPs, Presidents and possibly with the CEO.
• Serves as a representative of the organization to external customers. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve highly visible activities which may include speaking to or negotiating with customers, influencing other executives and/or academics, lobbying regulators or policy makers and representing the organization on matters of great significance.
• Provides technical leadership for teams and all associated teams.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• This position requires approximately 10 to 20% travel.
SUPERVISION:
• May be responsible for the direct supervision of various levels of Global DTI staff, predominantly Senior Director and Directors.
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
• Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
• 10+ years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years’ experience internal senior management level role (e.g., Vice President); or 5+ years’ external experience in a senior management level role.
• Demonstrated experience managing one or more departments.
• Strong management skills with the ability to build and lead cohesive and productive teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
