About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated Global Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic and collaborative team of marketing professionals. This role is essential to our integrated marketing function, focusing on driving the strategy and execution of digital lifecycle campaigns, including lead nurturing, opportunity acceleration, and customer onboarding, up-sell, and cross-sell initiatives through email and other channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Lifecycle Communications Strategy: Craft and implement a comprehensive lifecycle communications strategy to enhance engagement across the entire customer journey.
- Optimize Lifecycle Communications: Continuously refine the content, timing, and cadence of lifecycle communications to improve user experiences and achieve business objectives.
- Audience Insights: Gain a deep understanding of audience needs and contribute to the collection and interpretation of meaningful customer insights from cross-functional research and design teams.
- Lead Personalization Efforts: Collaborate with business partners to translate vision into actionable campaigns, focusing on personalization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with content and digital marketing teams to identify, test, and optimize high-performing content at each stage of the funnel across all marketing channels.
- Agency Management: Identify, RFP, and manage an email marketing agency to support design and content campaigns for lifecycle programs.
- Establish KPIs and Reporting: Develop lifecycle marketing KPIs and a reporting framework to quantitatively measure performance and impact. Conduct A/B testing to continuously optimize email programs.
- Coordinate Deliverables: Manage deadlines and align with editorial calendars to support nurture campaigns for monthly, one-off, and cadenced communications.
- Build Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with product marketing, channel sales, marketing automation and operations, market research, and customer success teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with 3+ years in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or retention marketing.
- Creative thinking with data-driven decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Expertise in synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights.
- Experience leveraging digital analytics and insights for audience segmentation and campaign decisions.
- Strong project management skills, from conception to completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A/B Testing Skills: Proficiency in A/B testing subject lines, email copy, and CTAs to optimize open and click-through rates, ultimately enhancing conversion rates.
- Copywriting Skills: Expertise in crafting compelling copy that drives conversions. While agency support is available, the ability to recognize quality content and draft effective copy independently is essential.
- Segmentation, Automation, and Tool Integration: Strong understanding of segmenting email lists and delivering targeted drip campaigns based on data, often integrated from various tools or marketing platforms, to create an efficient nurture machine.
- Customer Journey Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the customer journey and sales funnel. Ability to identify where prospects or customers are in the funnel and develop appropriate email sequences to advance them or boost retention.
- Retention Skills: Proficiency in designing drip campaigns and creating content aimed at retaining subscribers and customers.
- Campaign Ideation: Ability to brainstorm and develop innovative campaign ideas that resonate with different customer segments and drive action, beyond just technical implementation and segmentation.
- Expertise in Email Best Practices and Customer Database Management: Comprehensive understanding of email marketing best practices and effective management of customer databases.
- Experience with Programmatic Personalization: Skilled in leveraging technology for programmatic personalization at scale, utilizing tools such as machine learning, analytics, and behavioral data to enhance customer relevance.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations affecting global communications.
- HTML Knowledge: Basic knowledge of HTML for email formatting and troubleshooting.
