We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Director in ISG Fixed Income Operations to be part of FSL Operations supporting Morgan Stanley's FID Secured Lending (FSL) Business responsible for the management, maintenance, and ongoing servicing of its warehouse and other credit facilities secured by collateral including mortgages, hard assets, and equity pledges.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Specialist position at Director level within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Serve as a subject matter expert within functional area, working with Team Manager to manage processes, risks and/or projects, proposing and implementing improvements/changes
• Act as key problem solver for area or expertise, applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations, recognize risks and draw out key issues
• Coordinate work, train and develop other team members where required, including task allocation, and project contribution 
• Review of relevant credit and closing documentation to build out loan facilities in internal booking systems
• Daily loan servicing including borrowing/funding requests, settlement/paydown processing
• Collateral review and management: load and review of daily custodial reports; coordinate with external document custodian on exceptions. Execution of collateral releases for the shipment of loan documents to investors purchasing loans off the warehouse line
• Borrowing base management: monitoring warehouse line expiration dates, advance limits and deficiencies; coordinate with client and Business Unit as needed

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, and put forward challenging views to senior levels
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area and operational/compliance policies and procedures of their team
• Ability to operate independently across the majority of day-to-day responsibilities
• Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values and acting as a role model
• Knowledge in warehouse lending and collateral, or residential and consumer lending
• Knowledge of the secondary mortgage market, including involvement of government-sponsored enterprises (i.e. Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae)
• At least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Role is hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

Salary range for the position: $80,000 - $104,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
