Project Manager Global Logistics SAP/ERP Processes

Remote: Hybrid Role 2 days WFH, 3 days onsite weekly

Travel 15-30%% of the time (HR said 15, HM said 30). Continental travel will consist of week-long trips, and intercontinental travel will be two weeks.

This role focuses on improving the Logistics Process through SAP projects. It will work on a global team and have end-to-end responsibilities for these projects, working on projects from conception to implementation, training, and monitoring the project's KPIs after completion. Examples of these projects may include a new labeling system or reworking a material flow process.

These projects will be in the following areas:

Each year in March, all of the manufacturing facilities report areas of improvement to the corporate team. The team will review each report and address them based on need and financial gain. This position will work closely with the OneERP (Software) team and Operations to lead projects and keep an open line of communication.

The scope of these projects can vary widely from 2-3 months to 2-3 years, depending on the complexity. If a project is thriving in a “pilot plant,” the objective of this position is to train all of the regional managers (5 globally) to implement standardization throughout the company.

“As the interface between Business and IT, we develop and implement global standards and best practices for Logistics related ERP and material flow processes, improving efficiency, productivity, costs, inventories, and quality.”

Primary responsibility for this role will be over 6 US manufacturing sites (Primarily Michigan 2 and SE Illinois 4) and 3 sites in Mexico (Mexico City). The role could then be part of global implementation to any of the 34 manufacturing sites.
