About the Job
We are seeking a Global Network Engineer with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and excellent customer interface skills to support the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of networking equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls. This position is fully on-site in Colorado Springs, CO. This position is not open to C2C.

responsibilities:
Required Skills -networking equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls; spanning tree, trunking, routing protocols, first hop redundancy protocols, ip subnetting;
Job Duties -- Engineering of new capabilities and maintenance of existing environments
- produce designs including system, logical, and connectivity drawings,
- conduct testing of network designs
- maintain technical expertise in diverse areas of network and computer hardware and software including interconnection and interfacing with a wide-range of devices including routers, switches, firewalls, gateways
- evaluate and report on new communications technologies
Job Requirements -- Advanced degree and 3+ years experience or bachelors with 5+ years experience or equivalent
- Design, implementation, and troubleshooting of networking equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- working knowledge of spanning tree, trunking, routing protocols, first hop redundancy protocols, and ip subnetting.
- Demonstrated experience for the design and execution of network engineering configuration changes and documentation in a complex IT environment.
- proven troubleshooting skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, excellent customer interface skills
Desired Skills & Experience -- experience planning and supporting the deployment of network infrastructure
- C2BMC network experience
- Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, Juniper routers and switches, Fortinet firewalls, Palo Alto firewall
- Experience with WANs, encryption devices, VxLAN, multicast, BGP, OSPF, and wireshark.
- Familiarity with SIPRNet, MDACNet, or other DOD networks.
- Certifications such as COMPTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA, and Cisco CCNA/CCNP.
