Senior Director of Network and Hosting

 

Executive Summary:

Client is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Network and Hosting to guide the strategic direction, development, and operational management of our expansive global network infrastructure and hosting environments. This executive role is responsible for leading a large-scale network transformation program, modernizing our network services across a multitude of sites worldwide, and driving innovation in cloud technologies and services.

 

Key Executive Functions:

- Architect and execute a comprehensive strategy for the Network and Hosting department, aligning with client’s strategic objectives and establishing key performance indicators.

- Supervise the engineering and design of a resilient network infrastructure spanning multiple data centers and cloud platforms, ensuring optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.

- Cultivate a robust cloud strategy and manage its implementation, maintaining security protocols, compliance standards, and disaster recovery measures.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application deployment and service operations.

- Propel continuous improvement by integrating the latest in network and cloud engineering technologies and methodologies.

- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to guarantee high-quality service delivery and cost management.

- Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to the engineering and operations teams, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

 

Strategic Leadership and Vision:

- Lead the Global Network Platform team within the Foundational Technology Platforms organization, ensuring synergy with other Infrastructure & Cloud platforms.

- Develop and enhance the Global Network Platform, aiming for a modern, efficient, and software-defined service that delivers platform-as-a-service simplicity while maintaining scalability and reliability.

- Oversee all aspects of the Global Network Platforms, including security and connectivity for an extensive array of sites and facilities.

- Drive the execution of feature releases and product roadmaps for all Global Network Platforms, shaping a suite of global products within KDP's Infrastructure & Cloud portfolio.

- Establish a culture of agility, performance, and value in technology services, driving continuous improvement and building the organization's digital capabilities.

- Manage strategic MSP contracts, ensuring performance aligns with KDP's objectives and delivering corrective actions as necessary.

- Serve as a technical advisor and thought leader, influencing technology strategies and ensuring alignment with business priorities.

 

Qualifications:

- At least 15 years of experience in enterprise operations and IT networking, with a proven track record of effective leadership in large-scale, geographically diverse environments.

- Strong technical expertise in operating and supporting large-scale multivendor network environments, including network monitoring, troubleshooting, and observability.

- Familiarity with technology lifecycle management, vulnerability management, and industry best practices, as well as enterprise IT service management platforms and ITIL.

- Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence stakeholders at all levels, with exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning skills.

- Proficiency in IP Networks, Network Security, Traffic Management, DDI, Network Proxy, and Infrastructure Automation.

- Experience with Lean/Agile-based technology delivery teams and a strong commitment to driving operational excellence and innovation.
