PURPOSE
Responsible for pursuing and managing projects, both domestically and globally.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the development and growth of P+F sales within the Americas region.
- Responsible for project pursuit management of GPP global projects, including the coordination of the P+F Solutions Engineering Center (SEC) and local sales resources to ensure pursuit success with minimal risk across all aspects of the project execution.
- Works with Regional Sales Directors/Managers and the PA Executive to ensure all projects in pursuit have a strategy and action plan in place to maximize the win percentage.
- Supports the P+F Global Account Management (GAM) team directly with strategic customers related to DCS activity and product needs as required to support our global sales and marketing efforts.
- Provides feedback to, and coordinates closely with the local Sales Managers and the GPP team on competitive activity, products, tactics and price thresholds on projects and customer engagement.
- Keeps the GPP CRM data current and ensures that local project data is correct in CRM.
- Follows the regulations set forth by the GPP organization.
- Coordinates selling activities with the P+F sales force and provides sales support for product pursuit opportunities.
- Recommends pricing strategies for project sales.
- Tracks and summarizes project opportunities and potential financial impact on a monthly basis for management.
- Makes sales calls as required, either independently or with P+F personnel, including key DCS and assigned EPC accounts.
- Recommends product development needs to support P+F growth within accounts.
- Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed.
- Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff, customers, and industry connections.
- Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Marketing, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a global environment or process automation field.
- Knowledge of DCS/PLC/SCADA systems and instrumentation and controls applications
- Strong communication, presentation, reporting, and organizational skills are essential.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel are required.
- The ability to train and educate others is necessary.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and not always receiving immediate feedback.
