As a member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the President, you will align strategic people initiatives with business objectives and be a critical steward of the experiences of our 500+ team members around the globe. This is an onsite position in either our Duncan, SC or Brooklyn Park, MN location.You have a broad set of operational and strategic HR experiences, domestically and globally, and a strong understanding of human resources best practices and employment/labor law frameworks. You are passionate about leading and leveraging a highly effective team that creates, innovates and grows with our business. You have experience developing other HR leaders, including those at remote locations and leading cultural change.Responsibilities:In partnership with Executive Leadership Team, maintain, champion and align team members behind the vision and business strategy of the organizationStrategically plan people initiatives to drive business and organizational/cultural objectives, and serve as a consistent advocate for BWFS team membersLead proactive workforce planning and leadership succession planning to support business needsServe as a strategic business advisor to senior leaders regarding key organizational and management issues and provide services that support their successServe as the influential voice for people strategies, philosophies and initiatives within the organizationServe as a key partner to the Packaging VP of People, and a liaison to the Barry-Wehmiller Corporate People Team Continually work to strengthen People team effectiveness and drive consistent team member experience  Maintain knowledge of domestic and relevant global HR policies, programs, laws and issues, and serve as an advisor to business leaders as needed Develop and manage People Team budget and key performance indicators In partnership with Corporate Recruiting, develop and strengthen recruitment, on-boarding and retention strategies and implementation plans Continually assess the consistency and competitiveness of compensation programs and practices, and take action to address opportunities Be a champion for an inclusive workplace and implement strategies to enhance diversityPromote cultural awareness and global understanding between domestic and global operations Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field 10+ years’ progressive HR leadership and strategic business planning experience  Experience leading an HR organization within a manufacturing site, with labor relations and negotiations experience a plus.Experience with leading HR function at non-US locations (while based in US) preferredPrevious experience as a member of a multi-functional leadership team.Applicable knowledge of employment legislation, wage and hour laws, and safety regulations – advanced HR certification (s) preferred Experience in mergers and acquisitions a plusDemonstrated excellent written, verbal and presentation skills #LI-CP1At Barry-Wehmiller we recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.  If your experience is close to what you see listed here, please still consider applying.  We know that our differences often can bring about innovation, excellence and meaningful work—therefore, people from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply to our positions.  Please let us know if you require reasonable accommodations during the interview process. ​Barry-Wehmiller is an equal opportunity employer.
