Overview
The GMP Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean working environment that meets the standards of (GMP) Good Manufacturing Practices. This position will coordinate and perform all required daily, weekly and monthly cleanings in the manufacturing facility for rooms and critical equipment. Works in production environment with exposure to GMP cleaning chemicals and other hazards. Additional responsibilities include organizing storage areas, routine inventory of consumable items and re-stocking of supplies.
Pay: $20.50 per hour - $21.50 per hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
Basic Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work shifts that cover a 24/7 production operation
• Previous experience cleaning in a Life Sciences, Hospital, Pharma, or lab setting preferred. On the job training will be provided.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills
• Need to be able to read, write, and understand English
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to communicate instructions effectively in the English language, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Experience cleaning in an Aseptic Pharmaceutical, Lab, Hospital, or Food manufacturing environment (regulated by GMP standards and requirements) or relevant cleaning experience.
• Ability to work independently, with limited or no supervision
• Basic computer skills with the ability to enter information relative to job tasks into computer application.
Responsibilities:
• Completes GMP documentation including records and logbooks.
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities for the position.
• Cleaning and sanitizing the core operations equipment throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Thorough area cleaning is required in all production areas on a daily basis.
• Maintains all cleaning of walls, tables, floors, counter tops, etc.
• Responsibilities include hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling
• Follows relevant SOP's and Scopes of Work defined by the location leadership to ensure 100% compliance.
Physical Demands
• Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, push, pull 40 lbs. routinely, often/occasionally
• Clarity of Vision with the ability to identify and distinguish colors
• Must be able to perform activities with repetitive overhead actions
• May be recommended to have medical testing in accordance with the company’s Occupational Health Program.
Work Environment
• Must be able to wear appropriate PPE
• Must be able to work in clean room environment
• Must be able to work io weekends as part of schedule or as requested by management
• Works in production environment with potential exposure to noise and equipment hazards (i.e. vacuum pumps, pressurized vessels), dangerous materials (chemicals, Hazmat, solvents, pathogens), allergens and strong odors.
Paid In Depth, On the Job, computer based, and Instructor led Training and Qualifications will be provided for the initial 2-4 weeks before performing the core job functions. Opportunities for advancement into leadership roles at higher wage rates with site management for supervisor and trainers are available to candidates with the required experience.
