Golf Apparel Account Executive - PERRY ELLIS INTERNATIONAL INC

Summary

Develop and grow the Callaway Apparel & Original Penguin Golf & Tennis apparel , footwear and accessory business in the Green Grass, Off Course and Specialty Channels of Distribution, within the state of Texas (must reside in Texas, Dallas based preferred) Must have experience selling to GREEN GRASS GOLF STORES

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Offer and sell Callaway apparel & Original Penguin Golf & Tennis Apparel, Footwear and Accessories to Green Grass, Off  Course and Specialty Accounts.  
• Develop and execute the Callaway and Original Penquin Golf & Tennis USA strategy and develop the business with management groups, green grass, off course, specialty and online across the region.
• Maintain and service the existing account base while actively opening new accounts to increase revenues and meet or exceed financial and distribution goals as set forth by management.
• Develop a zone coverage plan for regular call structure for the account base, with weekly communication to management in the form of progress reports.
• Efficiently manage your territories business plan, expense, and promotional budgets, as it relates to sales targets.
• Engage in continuous communication with accounts to monitor sell through, product performance and provide merchandising POS materials.
• Ensure premium placement of Callaway Apparel and Original Penguin Golf & Tennis footwear and accessory products within the account base
• Become a market expert and a go to resource for accounts within the territory.
• Attend Callaway Apparel & Original Penguin Golf & Tennis  shopping sprees, events, and National sales meetings as needed.
• Enter all sales orders through Perry Ellis’ order entry system.  
• Work closely with internal PEI teams to ensure operational efficiency in customer service, operations, credit and marketing.
• Take ownership of the Callaway apparel and Original Penguin Golf & Tennis  order book, and conduct regular maintenance with customer service to ensure timely delivery to our customers.
• Increase market share and in store real estate. 

SKILLS

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent knowledge of the golf retail business
• Experience in apparel sales or merchandising

 REQUIREMENTS 

• 5+ years of Green Grass sales experience.  
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• A self starter driven to win everyday
• This position is a remote role and requires a car and travel daily to regional accounts
