Job Overview:
As a Golf Course Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our golf course maintenance equipment remains in top condition, contributing to the overall quality of our course and the experience of our members and guests. This position requires an individual with a strong background in equipment maintenance, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for contributing to the overall success of the club.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of golf course maintenance equipment, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and other related machinery.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnosing and repairing equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulations, taking appropriate measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent and other team members to prioritize equipment needs and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and well-equipped maintenance facility.
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to golf course equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical education or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience (3 years) as a Golf Course Equipment Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems commonly found in golf course maintenance equipment.
- Proficiency in using various tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
