Position Overview
The Golf Course Technician is responsible for the maintenance, care, and enhancement of golf course turf and grounds, setting up the course, and working with various tools and equipment to ensure grounds are well-maintained and visually appealing. This is a seasonal position, depending on the regional location.

Job Duties
- Operate power mowers, edgers, and string trimmers to mow, edge, and trim golf course grounds.*
- Utilize hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or backpack blowers.*
- Operate, clean, inspect, and maintain various vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, chainsaws, edgers, trimmers, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.*
- Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch using gardening tools. *
- Care for new and established turf by grading, mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, thatch removing, and trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.*
- Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and work procedures, including the proper use of safety equipment and attire.*
- Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges from the ground, using shears, pruners, or chainsaws.
- Water turf, trees, or plants using irrigation systems, hoses, or watering cans.
- Set up golf courses.*
- Change cups and tees on golf courses.*
Qualifications

- Love of the outdoors
- Golf course work experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books
- Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- High School education.
- Minimum one year experience in landscaping and/or grounds maintenance preferred.
- Experience as a crew member in landscape installations
- Valid Driver’s License is required. Class B, CDL valuable, but not required.
- Bi-Lingual –Spanish, very valuable, but not required.
