The Governance Associate provides services that support the organization's governance, risk, and compliance posture along with Greenleaf's core values of integrity, accuracy and fiduciary excellence. Furthers the culture of compliance through projects, discussions and training with all divisions. This role will evolve over time, and this individual will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility.
What will you do?
Governance
▪ Coordinate Audit and Exam processes both cross divisionally and with external audit firms/regulatory authorities
▪ Participate in various phases of the audit process such as planning, testing, researching, and reporting
▪ Support the Audit Committee by preparing meeting agendas and compiling materials
▪ Prepare policy updates and accurately maintain all applicable policy manuals
▪ Coordinate policy approvals with the various governance committees
▪ Participate in governance committees, as needed or assigned
Risk Management
▪ Assist with the annual Internal Audit Risk Assessment
▪ Establish new vendors within vendor management software and ensure initial risk and materiality assessment is performed
▪ Initiate annual risk assessment processes related to existing third-party vendors
▪ Coordinate background checks for appropriate vendors
▪ Collaborate with vendor Relationship Managers to collect required documentation and manage exceptions
▪ Support the Vendor Management Committee by preparing meeting agendas and compiling materials
Compliance
▪ Facilitate and/or recommend training to enhance compliance with fiduciary rules and regulations
▪ Perform initial research related to industry guidance, proposed and final regulatory rule changes, and disposition compliance alerts in software
▪ Identify potential compliance exposures or opportunities for continuous improvement and collaborate cross divisionally to remedy
▪ Oversee the Medallion Stamp program
▪ Collaborate with Client Centric Team to ensure fulfilment of Corporate Transparency Act required filings
▪ Assist the Governance, Risk, and Compliance ("GRC") team with additional projects or tasks as needed
▪ All other duties as assigned

What do you need to be successful?
▪ Bachelor's degree with minimum 1-year business/finance experience or equivalent education and experience required
▪ Financial Services work experience preferred
