About the Job
The Governance, Oversight and Adoption ( "GOA”) group maintains the policies that govern the SPE Chart of Accounts ( "COA”) and participates on project teams when the COA is modified. This GOA COA Consultant will be primarily responsible for representing GOA on the IFRS 2.0 project that will implement new processes and system changes to comply with IFRS18 issued in April 2024. This role will work with members in the project team as well as the wider stakeholders who will be impacted by the new IFRS requirements.

- Work with GOA team as a representative to implement modified COA and related governance & oversight activities. Example activities include:
- Understand the guidance on IFRS18 that has been prepared by Sony Tokyo and SPE Technical Accounting teams.
- Obtain an understanding of how the new requirements will impact GOA processes
- Attend meetings with stakeholders to obtain an understanding of how the new requirements will impact their processes.
- Clarify and document the impacts to the modified CoA and its policies , as well as steps needed to implement the changes
- Coordinate with Global Consolidation Reporting ( "GCR”), Technical Accounting, and IT / systems team as needed to implement changes
- Assist stakeholders to make changes to their reporting process and system setup, including maintaining and reconciling reports with the modified COA and hierarchies through outreach (i.e. training and/or mapping review)
- Work with the IFRS2.0 project team to implement IFRS2.0 requirements, ensuring all financial records and reports comply with the new regulations. Example activities include:
- Attend IFRS 2.0 project ceremonies as required, e.g., daily standup, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
- Understand the goals for each sprint and collaborate with GOA members and project team members to deliver/implement the needed changes
- Assist the Project PMO in maintaining project calendars and in scheduling sessions based on stakeholder availability.
- Maintain and organize all correspondence and project documentation using SPE provided software.
- Assist project members to document the KDDs
- Assist executing the organization change management strategy of IFRS2.0 project together with the OCM lead
- Document the UAT testing details including scenario preparation and track the results of stakeholders (i.e. status of UAT testing, and validation results)
- CoA knowledge. SPE CoA is a preference.
- SAP/BW/S4 HANA systems knowledge.
- Detail oriented, with excellent analytical and project management, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize and meet all deadlines.
- Advanced in Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, team player.
