EY is ready to help our government build a better working world.The opportunityOur Government & Public Sector-Financial Accounting Advisory Services (GPS-FAAS) team is growing exponentially, and as a Manager you'll play a key role in that growth
Working across all Federal GPS sector service lines, you'll develop your career by communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally

That means you'll need to think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues
You'll also be collaborating with colleagues across multiple service lines, so we'll look to you to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas
Regular travel will be required as you will be meeting with key clients, some of those being the most respected in their fields. Skills and attributes for successConsulting with clients on complex accounting issuesCollaborating with partners, senior managers and clients to influence strategy, balancing risk and client expectationsEnsuring our Engagement team thoroughly understands our clients' unique needs, ambitions and expectationsBuilding relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated serviceManaging performance and identifying opportunities to improve our products and processes  To qualify for the role you must haveA bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business discipline, supported by 5 years of progressive post baccalaureate work experience with Federal US GAAPUS CPA licensure in your work state2 years of experience in supervising financial accounting, auditing or advisory services team consisting of two or more staff membersExcellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to managementStrong technical writing skills and advanced risk management knowledgeA deep understanding of Federal financial management objectives, as well as commonly used terminology, processes and toolsA proven record of excellence when managing, mentoring and improving a team of high-performing colleaguesThe confidence to research and resolve emerging client issues, including regulations, industry practices and new TechnologiesThe flexibility to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environmentThe ability to obtain and maintain a security clearanceDue to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector, work may be required to be completed at client, EY and/or contractor sites
Our goal is to assign professionals to projects within a commutable distance of their work location office.  In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $111,600 to $204,500
The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $133,900 to $232,500
Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography

Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year
