Responsibilities:THE ROLE:
As a member of the AIG-Sharks team, you will help develop a Python-based DSL (Tk) for high performance kernels on a variety of hardware backends. Whether its matrix multiplication, convolutions, attention or the latest ML operator, your mission is to design the language and develop code generation pipelines that maximize throughput, reduce latency, and ensure we reach the hardware rooflines.
THE PERSON:
We’re seeking a strong compiler and GPU/CPU programming expert who intimately understands the GPU/CPU programming model and core optimization techniques. As a communicator and team player, you’ll collaborate across functions to meet deliverables and drive our future roadmap.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and enhance language functionality to represent variety of different operators
- Apply compiler transformations and optimizations on fx.graphs
- Develop MLIR lowerings for operators from fx.graphs
- Add support for new hardware backends
- Optimize kernels to achieve peak performance
- Collaborate with rest of the team in defining the roadmap for language
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C, C++ and Python
- Experience in compiler development
- Experience with IREE, MLIR and LLVM
- Proficiency in writing high performance kernels for GPUs (in CUDA, HIP, SPIRV etc)
- Experience with distributed computation and communication primitives
PREFERRED ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Master’s or doctorate degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
