Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Grading Estimator. Being responsible for estimating grading on asphalt projects includes, preparing bid packages, building and maintaining strong working relationships, working collaboratively, listening to clients needs, excellent and timely professional communication, and more.

- Maintain customer relationships
- Respond to project opportunities and conduct risk assessment
- Prepare accurate and timely proposals while assessing client's needs and wants.
- Know EEO, DBE, etc. requirements.
- Solicit reliable subcontractors (RFQs) and suppliers' quotes.
- Perform project set-up on all awarded projects including contract/subcontract approvals, Build2Win, Spectrum, work order, and scheduling
- Be on top of project to help anticipate "problems."
- Regularly communicate with supervisor and customer.
- Be accountable to all stakeholders.
- Ensure timely billing and subcontractor/supplier payment authorizations.
- Represent BR positively at events.
- Work collaboratively mentor and assist other estimators.
- Assist with timely workload inventory communication (aka LRS)
- Consult with Sr. Estimator regularly to help steer estimators.
Preferred Experience/Education:
- 3 - 5 years of Estimating experience in the highway heavy construction industry preferably with grading
- Construction Management degree or equivalent
- Strong communication and math skills
- A team player and problem-solver
- Accountability, accuracy, and strong time management skills
- B2W, Spectrum and Microsoft Project experience a plus
