About the Job
Franklin Pierce University, a NCAA Division 2 member of the Northeast 10 Conference, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant - Softball. The selected applicant will receive a tuition waiver along with a $4,000 stipend per semester. This position is renewable for the next academic year conditional upon satisfactory performance and adherence to all academic requirements and employment protocols.
The Graduate Assistant will provide support to the head coach in the areas of coaching, operations, recruiting and fundraising. First-hand experience will be provided in all aspects of a successful college softball program.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily practice/game plans, conduct on-field coaching
- Assist in coordinating prospective student-athlete visits
- Assist in evaluating and recruiting/retaining prospective student-athletes throughout the country
- Assist with travel coordination, meals, logistics, etc.
- Plan and conduct camps and clinics
- Monitor academic progress of student-athletes
- Perform various administrative job-related activities as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred
- Proficiency in softball
- Knowledge of NCAA DII rules and regulations
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
