• This company provides support for children, adults, and families in communities across the tri-state area
• The role will be located in Midtown Manhattan on a hybrid schedule

Overview of the Role- Grant Accountant

• Assist in preparation of annual budgets for programs in conjunction with program management
• Reconciliation of various grants including regular billings and reconciliation of general ledger
• Prepare new budget proposals, monthly budget to actual analysis and the monthly billing report
• Prepare and submit budget modification requests as needed monitoring variances of expenditure over budget and advising program directors to monitor spending to the budget
• Prepare program financial statements as required by either funding source or program management
• Record general ledger entries (salaries, revenue, bank reconciliation)
• Preparation of the year end reports for the annual audit
• Assist in preparation of salary detail and other schedules for CFR and SSOP reports along with the preparation of supporting schedules for Uniform Guidance report
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications - Grant Accountant

• Degree in Accounting or similar major
• Experience working in a not for profit role with contract billing is a plus
• Experience with HHS Accelerator , CFR, SSOP or Great Plains Dynamic is helpful but not essential
