GRANT WRITER - Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans

• The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and coordinating the grant application process for Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans. This position will manage proposals and apply their experience and understanding of grant writing and management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Write high-quality letters of intent, proposal narratives, applications, renewals, and grant reports for the agency
• Conduct prospect research to identify new opportunities and solicit new grants that match the agency's priorities
• Coordinate with program managers and finance department to develop understanding of program's mission and financial needs
• Develop and maintain grant calendar of new prospects, letters of intent, proposals, renewals, and reports to ensure all deadlines are met
• Coordinate and follow up on the progress of submitted proposals and renewals
• Facilitate monthly meetings with agency leadership to support the development and implementation of grants strategy and funding priorities
• Enter appropriate data into Raiser's Edge
• Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing and nonprofit work
• A bachelor's degree or higher is required
• Demonstrated ability to write successful grant proposals
• Knowledge of local and national foundations and corporations
