PeopleShare is Now Hiring for an experienced Grants Officer to support a Mission Driven Human Services Nonprofit Organization in Philadelphia!
The Grant Officer is responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
Grants Officer - Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm - On Site (With Paid Lunch)
- Pay Rate: $75,000 - $85,000
- Direct Hire
- Research and identify new government, foundation, and private funding grant opportunities that align with mission and programs.
- Develop and write high quality grant proposals, narratives, applications, budgets and supporting documents in response to solicitations.
- Ensure all proposals are submitted in accordance with grantor requirements and deadlines.
- Oversee the administration of awarded grants, ensuring compliance with all grant requirements and conditions.
- Maintain detailed records of grant schedules, grant submissions, awards, and reporting schedules.
- Coordinate and follow up on progress of submitted proposals.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to grantors on the progress and outcomes of funded programs.
- Work closely with appropriate personnel program managers and the finance team to gather the necessary information for proposals and reports.
- Foster and maintain relationships with current and potential funders.
- Represent at meetings with funders and other stakeholders as needed.
- Monitor and analyze data related to grant-funded programs to measure outcomes and impact.
- Ensure that data collection and reporting practices meet the requirements of funders and organizational standards.
- Assist in developing and implementing grant strategy to increase funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with the development team to support general fundraising activities, including donor outreach and event planning.
- Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans to enhance the organization's overall funding and sustainability.
- Stay informed on current veteran issues, trends and best practices in grant writing and fundraising within the non-profit sector.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing and management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong research skills and the ability to identify and pursue new funding opportunities.
