About the Position:
Are you ready to drive change and secure essential funding for critical programs? As a Grants Coordinator, you'll be at the forefront of our mission, ensuring that The Women's Center has the resources it needs to continue its vital work. This isn't just a role-it's a chance to shape the future of our organization and the communities we serve. Your day-to-day will include:
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources that align with the mission and programs of The Women's Center.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposal development, including program outcomes, budgets, and other relevant data.
- Write compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry that effectively communicate the organization's mission, goals, and impact to potential funders.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals according to deadlines, ensuring all requirements and guidelines are met.
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements to ensure timely submission of proposals and reports.
- Assist in the development of grant budgets in collaboration with the finance team and program staff.
- Monitor and track grant funding received, ensuring compliance with grant agreements and reporting requirements.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
We're looking for someone who is not only qualified but driven to secure funding for life-changing programs. You should have a Bachelor's degree in communication, writing, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in grant-writing, fundraising, donor relations, or marketing within a nonprofit setting. Strong research, writing, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively. Knowledge of budget development and financial reporting is important, as well as a commitment to supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Being technology-savvy, with proficiency in donor databases, grant management software, and Microsoft Office, will be crucial to your success in this role.
