About the Job
Roles and Responsibility | ·The Grants Specialist SME shall have extensive, enterprise-wide knowledge and experience in federal grant-making policies, procedures, and administration covering the full grant lifecycle. ·Provides insight and advice concerning strategic direction and applicability of up to date, industry standard solutions for assessments and data analysis. ·Shall provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff. ·Provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for mission critical challenges/issues in the area of federal grant management and administration efforts. ·Shall be responsible for developing and implementing best practices in data collection methodologies and analyses relating to federal grant administration, oversight, and audits. ·Consults with OAAM to define requirements and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions. ·Responsible for providing high-level vision to program/project manager and team members to influence objectives of complex efforts. |
Minimum Experience | ·Eight (8) years of professional experience planning, conducting, and participating in the facets of performance requirements ·Shall have demonstrated expertise in training, supervising, and monitoring key staff members in the day-to-day administration of federal grants while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. ·Shall have demonstrated expertise with grant policy and procedure development, process flow, document management, and reporting. ·Must be detail-oriented and think logically. ·Possesses excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills. ·Possesses the ability to keep up with new business and technical concepts. Able to work with minimal supervision. ·Possesses strong team leadership and risk management ability. |
Education | ·Master's degree in public policy or a related discipline |
Certification | ·Grants Management certification highly desired. |
Substitution Criteria | ·10 years of relevant experience with planning, conducting, and participating in the experiences described above and in the performance requirements. ·A bachelor's degree in public policy or a related discipline. ·Grants Management certification highly desired. |
