Grill Cook - Willkomm's

Reports to the Grill Leader. Responsible for making sure all food is properly prepared and follow all sanitation and food handling procedures. Ensure that food prepared is presented and delivered to the customer in a timely manner. Provide customer with an enjoyable and delicious meal.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare food orders as they come in.

• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items

• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

• Prep food for use on next shift.

• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures

• Identify kitchen food needs and pull food from freezer to allow time for thawing.

• Notify Kitchen Leader of items needed before the item is completely out.

• Follow all menus, menu plating instructions, company guidelines and procedures to maintain food consistency.

• Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures

• Be knowledgeable & apply the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines when handling food.

• Protect the assets of the company

Non-Essential Job Functions

• Efficiently and accurately prepare, package and label products for sale to customers.

• Ensure all coolers, freezers and preparation areas are clean and set up in advance for deliveries.

• Quickly unload incoming shipments and neatly stock them in their designated areas without damaging merchandise.

• Keep inventory of supplies.

• Wear appropriate uniform, footwear, name tag and maintain cleanliness of the uniform.

• Communicate effectively with Leader any customer concerns, complaints, product requests, etc.

• Must be able to work as an integral part of a team, assisting and communicating effectively with

with co-workers and guests

Must be self-motivated, organized, maintain a positive attitude and professional behavior. Must possess excellent communications and presentation skills. Displays initiative and requires minimal supervision. Must be able to walk, stoop, bend and stand for a long period of time during his or her shift and lift to 50 pounds. Must have efficient multi-tasking and time management skills.
