Cornell Pump Company is looking for a Grind, Deburr, Trim, and Balance Operator to set up and perform manual grinding, balancing, and deburring on various metals, castings forgings, and fabrication at our Clackamas, Oregon location. This position is 100% onsite, Monday - Friday.

The hourly pay range is $21.00 - $23.00 (DOE)

Responsibilities for a Grinder/Balancer:

• Must use a respirator and the required PPE
• Able to operate forklift and other lifting devices
• Follows router on shop orders or non-conformity ticket
• Keeps machines and work area clean and free of debris
• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
• Does basic maintenance to machines, including checking and maintaining oils and fluids in machines. Reports problems with the machine
• Follow all safety precautions and practices safe working habits. Reports all unsafe conditions and injuries to the supervisor immediately
• Works from a "work at machine" schedule on a computer system or from verbal instructions from production control
• Uses measuring tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, scales, tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools

Qualifications for a Grinder/Balancer:

• Strong sense of time organization and urgency
• Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Proficiency with technical and warehouse machinery
• Detail-oriented and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
