Responsibilities:
- Report for work at the designated location, on time, every day as scheduled.
- Effectively use ropes and knots to lower limbs and equipment for Climbing Arborist.
- Unload, lay out, prepare, and stow materials, tools, and equipment throughout the day.
- Work from the ground using a variety of saws, trimmers, rakes, chippers and stump grinders.
- Drive trucks, loaders, backs trailers, and operate other equipment as assigned.
- Keep trucks, trailers and other equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Perform daily maintenance on all trucks, trailers and equipment.
- Report the need for scheduled maintenance and repairs on all trucks, trailers and equipment to the Operations Manager.
- Participate in daily job briefings, weekly safety meetings, continuous improvement meetings, and weekly gear checks.
- Always adhere to industry and company safety standards and policies including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Keeps work-area clean and orderly, setup safety work zones, safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area, staying in frequent communication with workers aloft.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure a smoothly operating crew.
Qualifications:
- A clean valid Driver's License is absolutely 100% REQUIRED. NO EXCEPTIONS!
- 2-5 years industry experience showing proficiency driving, backing, operating saws, chippers, and technical rigging support.
- Ability to acquire a DOT Medical card required for driving commercial vehicles.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test including random testing throughout the year.
- Must be able to carry 50lbs at a minimum for 8-10 hours per day.
- Must be able to work outside under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
- Must be able to perform physical labor at a moderate to high difficulty for 40-60 hours per week.
- Prior experience with roping, knots, trimming, limbing, chipper, and saw operation is preferred.
Compensation:
- We offer competitive wages commensurate with experience
- W2 Hourly with Overtime ($18-$25/hour).
- 1-week Paid Time Off (after 90 days).
