General Description of Position: Under the general supervision of the Project Manager or designee and the direct supervision of the on-site Supervisor, does manual labor associated with performing all landscaping functions according to contract specifications.Location: Carlisle, PAShift: 7AM - 3:00PMPRIMARY FUNCTION(S):
- Perform all assigned work daily at locations where landscaping services are to be provided.
- Perform all work on grounds in accordance with contract specifications.
- Provide labor on various projects as required/needed.
- Support recreation and special events as required.
- Maintain areas that encompass building and facilities and include lawn areas, ornamental bushes and trees
- Identify equipment and supplies needed for each job and transport them.
- Mow and trim lawn.
- Cut grass using walking-type or riding movers.
- Prune trees and shrubs as needed.
- Edge around trees, flower beds, lawns and walls as needed.
- Mulch around trees, flower beds.
- Apply fertilizers and line as needed.
- Plant grass and sod as needed.
- Remove debris and repair storm damage as needed.
- Remove tree and stumps.
- Control erosion.
- Clean ditches.
- Drain catch basins.
- Maintain headstones.
- Establish new landscape areas when needed.
- Install annual flower beds.
- Plant grass, trees and shrubs.
- Remove leaves etc.
- Do snow removal if needed.
- Spread Salt on walkways and other areas when needed.
- Sweep to remove dirt and debris from paved vehicular surfaces and parking areas.
