Grounds Maintenance Crew - Pelican Golf Club
Pelican Golf Club, in the heart of Belleair is looking for enthusiastic and passionate Grounds Maintenance Crew Members to join our team. If you are an Individual that likes physically demanding work in a fun environment, then this could be the opportunity that you have been waiting for. Pelican Golf Club currently has a strong crew but would like some likeminded, hardworking additions to make us stronger. Experience with operating golf specific machinery is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided, but a background in Golf Course employment or an education in turf/landscaping could see you thrive within our team from the onset. If you have no experience, then a strong work ethic and a positive attitude could be all you will need to succeed here at Pelican Golf Club. Pelican Golf Club holds the LPGA "The Annika" Championship every November so come and our join team as we maintain our beautiful grounds for all year member play and the eyes of the world during our televised tournament towards the end of the year.
Crew members are required to be able to complete a large variety of tasks during the day, including walk mowing greens, hand raking bunkers, operating triplex mowers, fairway mowers as well as other larger ride on mowers. Smaller machinery such as backpack blowers, weed eaters and edgers are also part of our daily routine as well as other equipment required to complete duties as assigned. Grounds crew will work under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Physically you must be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
A valid social security card and valid photo ID would be required and the ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
Our schedule would need you to work early mornings but leave the late afternoons and evenings free Monday through Friday whilst only working every other weekend morning. Schedule is subject to change for tournaments and larger maintenance projects.
Other benefits include:
Medical/Dental insurance, 401k as well as lunch provided Tuesday through Thursday.
Starting at $16 per hour depending on experience.
