Groundskeeper - 3 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) job available 1/6/25 - 4/15/25.
Employer: E Paez Landscaping Inc., 298 White Plains Road, Eastchester, NY 10709.
Duties: Shovel snow in residential driveways and sidewalks using power-driven devices such as snow blowers or hand tools such as shovels, grounds maintenance,such as litter cleanup and winterization of irrigation systems, and other duties as assigned related to facilities maintenance, such as clearing facilities of leaves, snow, or debris using hand tools or power equipment including but not limited to rakes, shovels, and snow/leaf blowers. Potential for fall and spring grounds cleanup, including raking, mulching, and composting of leaves, removal of dead plant material, perennial plant cutbacks, landscape bed mulching, and dormant pruning from the ground level. Deicing and removal of snow from walks, driveways and parking lots for various residential and commercial properties, using hand tools such as snow brooms, shovels, and spreading deicing solutions, including calcium chloride or rock salt by hand. May also use walk behind electric or gas snow blowers, as needed. May drive crew vehicle.
Special Requirements: Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Work hours may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions. Must be able to perform manual, physical labor outside during all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.).
No education required. 6 months experience required.
Work hours: M-F 9am-5pm; 40 hours/week at $21.87/hour. Wage range based on experience or performance. OT at $32.81/hour. OT varies per week. Discretionary bonus may be made at employer's discretion.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Tuesday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
