Job Overview:
As a Groundskeeper for our apartment complex in challenging neighborhoods, you will be responsible formaintaining the landscaping and outdoor areas of the property with a strong emphasis on accountability and legendary customer service. You will work closely with the property management team to ensure that the grounds are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for our residents.
Schedule Requirements: Tuesday to Saturday 8:30 AM to 5 PM
Job Responsibilities:
1. Accountability:
- Take ownership of groundskeeping tasks and ensure they are completed quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of landscaping activities, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and watering.
- Adhere to groundskeeping schedules and prioritize tasks based on property needs and resident satisfaction.
2. Legendary Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents by maintaining a clean and inviting outdoor environment.
- Respond promptly and courteously to resident inquiries, requests, and concerns related to groundskeeping.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with residents, colleagues, and visitors.
3. Landscaping Maintenance:
- Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, and mulching to keep the ground looking neat and well-manicured.
- Monitor plant health and address issues such as pest infestations, disease, and drought stress to ensure the longevity of landscaping features.
- Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty and appeal of the property.
4. Property Upkeep:
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, and recreational areas.
- Remove litter, debris, and hazardous materials from the grounds to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents and visitors.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to address landscaping-related maintenance issues and safety hazards promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in groundskeeping, preferably in a hotel or multifamily housing environment.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, tools, and equipment, with the ability to operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping machinery.
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering legendary service to residents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform groundskeeping tasks, including lifting, bending, and kneeling, for extended periods.
