JOB GOAL:
To maintain clean and beautiful grounds for all District Buildings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
2. Valid Arizona drivers license
3. Must pass a fingerprint and background clearance
4. Experience with computers, such as email and work order systems
5. Knowledge of hand and power tools
6. Must have five years of experience in landscape and sprinkler
systems
7. Read and understand blue prints and closeout books
8. Must be able to work outside in Arizona weather conditions
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 261 Days; 12 Months
COMPENSATION:$15.98 -$18.86
BENEFITS: As per District policy
REPORTS TO:Director of Building Operations
HOURS:40 hours per week - Monday-Friday5 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Performs the planting, trimming, watering, fertilizing and care of
the lawn to all district sites.
2. Responsible for routine maintenance on the drip system, sprinkler
system, and irrigation time clocks.
3. Need to be able to repair timers, control valves, sprinkler heads,
pumps, etc.
4. Be able to operate lawn mowers, weed eaters, trimmer, blowers,
tractors with their attachments, and pull trailers.
5. Need to know the basics of designing an irrigation system and
explain how it works.
6. Taking care of the lining sports field for football, baseball, and
soccer.
7. Making sure that all district sites have well maintained grounds.
8. Being flexible and performing other duties assigned by supervisor.
