The IT SAP SD Application Analyst acts as an internal consultant for
Ardagh Group's ERP systems (SAP and sub-systems). This role is focused
on configuring, documenting, and creating solutions within sales and
distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Create and document defined solutions to business requirements into
IT specifications
- Complete configuration of designed SAP SD solutions
- Provide understanding of SAP ERP SD functionality and integration
- Communicate business process knowledge within Sales and Distribution
- Proactively progress project or support requests according to SLA to
include configuration of solution in SAP SD module
- Focus areas include: Sales, Delivery, Billing, Billing Plan,
Rebates, Pricing, Credit Management, Shipping and Transportation,
and Logistics Execution
- Liase as the main contact for the functional business units and
their process owners for relevant topics such as application
support, change requests, enhancement and new process requirements
- Understand complex business processes and serve as subject matter
experts
- Work proactively on continuous improvement processes for ERP system
usage and functions
- Lead and assist projects of various sizes, containing internal as
well as external team members
- Work with and guide external consultants in support cases and
projects while ensuring best cost value for Ardagh Group
- Align with other IT applications to integrate business and process
functions into the ERP systems, providing interoperability between
multiple IT systems
- Create and execute test scenarios to ensure quality of deliverables
- Coordinate cross team integration activities
- Monitor and control outsourced application support services in
cooperation with the ERP AMS team
Minimum skills / qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ten (10) years of experience within SAP SD
- Excellent understanding of Integration with other SAP areas such as
Production Planning, Materials Management, Warehouse Management,
Logistics Execution, and FI/CO
- Experience in working in a highly customized SAP Environment with
good debugging skills
- Knowledge of other non-SAP ERP applications, e.g. SAP integrated
systems
- Proven understanding and knowledge of interfaces, IDOCs, and EDI
integration
Preferred skills / qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, business or other relevant fields
- SAP SD certifications
- ITIL experience
- Knowledge of SAP-Transportation Management and or integration with
other Transportation service providers is an advantage
- Previous experience in an international company as a project lead
