We’re seeking a software sales leader for a role within Growth Ventures as the RIA/Broker Dealer Business Development and Relationship Lead. This role is located in Tribeca, NYC (hybrid).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead business development for a new platform business being developed by BNY, focusing on delivering the platform into the wealth channel, specifically RIAs and independent broker dealers
- Partner with existing line of business coverage teams, including relationship managers and service leaders, to establish and convert a robust pipeline of clients
- Identify subset of clients to be day 1, pilot program adopters while maintaining momentum with a much more significant set of day 2 adopters
- Partner with product and design teams to engage clients in product workshops, demonstrating key features/capabilities, capturing client feedback, and sharing insights with the product development, design, and engineering teams
- Establish and execute the roll-out plan for both the pilot program and day 2 adopters, ensuring a smooth implementation of the solution including home office and advisor training and support
- Over time, build a high impact team of business development and relationship management professionals that delivers a world-class client experience and drives outsized growth and commercial impact for clients and BNY
- Individual will be measured on their ability to convert, onboard, and drive business with a significant volume of clients as indicated by institutional adoption, advisor adoption, and ultimately the volume/dollars supported on the platform
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Individual should have at least 12+ years of experience in sales/business development roles
- Experience in the wealth segment, particularly with RIAs and independent broker dealers, is a must
- Experience in private markets and alternatives is a plus
- Experience in software sales and services is a plus
- Being relentlessly client-oriented and commercial

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $200,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
