Be the face of The Pier Sixty Collection and leave a lasting impression as a Guest Service Agent (GSA).
Your mission: to wow our guests and clients with exceptional service and a warm welcome. As a pivotal part of our team, you'll be the liaison between guests, clients, and our internal teams, ensuring every event runs smoothly.
Position Details:
Job Type: Full Time
Compensation: $20.00 per hour (can we put Starts or a range?)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Warm Welcome: Greet all guests with a smile and enthusiasm, creating a memorable first impression.
Guest Assistance: Provide top-notch support for guest and client requests, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
Communication Hub: Efficiently handle phone calls, directing them to the appropriate departments with clarity and professionalism.
Transportation Coordination: Assist guests with valet parking, shuttle services, and car service needs during events.
Package Management: Consolidate and coordinate pickups for event-related items.
Parking Oversight: Supervise valet staff and coordinate parking arrangements with Chelsea Piers Guest Services Staff.
Safety Assurance: Ensure all parking and transportation safety measures are adhered to for guests and staff.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
Educational Background: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Prior hospitality or events front service experience is a plus.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the black car, valet, and bus industries is advantageous.
Customer Service Excellence: At least one year of experience in a similar role.
Organizational Skills: Strong ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
Calm Under Pressure: Ability to maintain a positive attitude and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Problem Solving: Quick to respond and adept at resolving issues efficiently.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English, with excellent diction for clear telephone communication.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, and Teams.
Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Driver's License (Optional): If applicable, must ensure safe driving and adhere to annual driver's license background checks.
