Kantishna Roadhouse (KRH) is a full-service, backcountry lodge located 90 miles into the pristine natural wonder of Denali National Park in a remote area where few are lucky enough to travel. Employees at the Roadhouse will find adventure, tranquility and an escape from every-day modern life. The season at Kantishna Roadhouse is approximately from June 3 - September 13 and KRH is seeking candidates available to stay the entire season. Room and board are provided free of charge for this position.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the KRH Operations Manager, the Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the front desk and housekeeping. Over-night guests arrive and depart twice a week. The Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for checking in/out guests and is responsible for cleaning and servicing of guest cabins, public guest areas including bathrooms and guest common areas; as well as processing guest cabin linens and guest personal laundry, as requested.
Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor the daily cleaning and servicing of guest cabins, public areas, and the laundry department
- Clean and inspect guest cabins, public areas, and to ensure a clean, orderly, and pleasing appearance
- Processes laundry and monitors and stocks the inventory of linens, towels, amenities, cleaning supplies, and equipment
- Handles and processes guest personal laundry, as requested
- Maintain laundry room in a clean and orderly fashion
- Orders housekeeping supplies and issues supplies and equipment to employees
- Check in/out guests upon arrival and departure
- Respond to guest requests
- Assist guests with locating cabins
- Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and recommend corrective action and discharge to KRH Operations Manager
- Stock inventory to ensure adequate supplies and prepare and place weekly supply orders
- Examine cabins, halls, and lobbies to determine the need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment and make recommendations to KRH Operations Manager
- Make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation
- Other duties as assigned

- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

- Good communication and leadership skills
- Desire to work cooperatively in a team concept environment
- Good conflict resolution and customer service skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Kantishna Roadhouse provides a unique and challenging work experience. Each role is physically demanding with staff typically averaging 45-60+ hours per week, especially during the beginning and end of the season. The nature of our business requires every team member to be adaptable and versatile, making each day an exciting opportunity to learn and grow. Due to the Denali Park Road closure, access to Kantishna Roadhouse is by small aircraft only, which means that staff is expected to remain in Denali National Park and Preserve for the duration of the season.
