About the Job
The mission of Christ’s Church of the Valley is to WIN people to Christ, TRAIN believers to become disciples, and SEND disciples to impact the world. The focus of the Guest Services Pastor is to help create and lead the overall guest experience on the campus for all ministry events and experiences. As the Guest Services Pastor, you will be responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing, volunteer recruitment and development takes place within the ministry.
Job DescriptionEssential Job Functions
- Model and communicate what it means to “Create the Plus” (Exceed the guest’s expectation at all times)
- Plan for and execute the weekend experience, aligning both the physical environments inside and outside and the volunteers to create a “WOW” experience from street to seat
- Oversee volunteer recruitment, onboarding, placement and training of all volunteers within guest services
- Recruit, vet, train, support and shepherd serving team leaders and volunteers, assisting them to reach their full potential in their areas
- Consistently meet with volunteers on their spiritual health and growth, leadership, and overall engagement in CCV
- Coordinate with the team leaders to ensure adequate staffing to the ministry areas and established baselines
- Utilize the Serve Toolbox within ROCK to properly schedule, train and communicate essential information, development and training
- Model a positive, authentic and caring behavior and communicate the vision of CCV
- Input weekly attendance from all services
- Ensure volunteers have the necessary supplies for their shift
- Track ministry goals & objectives for the year
- Track ministry volunteer engagement and encourage Next Steps for all team members
Pastoral Care
- Provide Pastoral care to the people as needed. This includes, but is not limited to weddings, funerals, baptisms, hospital/hospice calls, and baby dedications
- Leverage the ministry resources to support members of your area of ministry
- While most of the time you will be caring primarily for the people in your area of responsibility, it is understood that Pastoral Care is to be a “team effort” and therefore you may be asked to help people in other areas as needed
Community Relations
- Develop relationships with key members and organizations within your region (school, leaders, business leaders, city officials, etc.)
- Encourage relationship between CCV Volunteers and community leaders
- Encourage members of your team to move through our Next Steps
- Work with Associate Pastor to help identify potential Neighborhood Group leaders and potential group participants

Education & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
- Experience mentoring or leading others to Christ
- Able to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays & Sundays
- Degree in Biblical Studies is helpful
- Experience working in Ministry is preferred but not required
