Job Description:
- The Subcontract Buyer role within the Supply Chain Management organization is responsible for overall supply chain management of a diverse portfolio of programs and is accountable to both programs as well as directly to the Supply Chain Management organization.
- The Subcontract Buyer will be a key role in managing an array of contracts for the organization across a variety of sub systems as part of aircraft development. This is a virtual position.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, supply chain or another related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Subcontract Administrator/Buyer.
- Overall 5-7 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Knowledge of compliance acquisition procedures and FAR/DFAR requirements.
- Understanding and application of supply chain and subcontract management principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
- Subcontract experience to include development of RFPs, complex statements of work, evaluation criteria, and source selection criteria.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills to enable effective relationships with suppliers, Engineering, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads, Program Management, and Customers.
- Experience with both development and production programs in the aerospace industry.
- International subcontract experience with working knowledge of import/export compliance and ITAR regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in office environment.
- Fine manipulation, such as typing.
- Ability to work at a desk 8 hours daily.
- Lifting of normal office equipment, such as laptops and files.
